Cleverland Tutorial Centre is a professional tuition centre conduting Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and JC academic-based tutorial lessons at 'PSLE', 'N', 'O' & 'A' Level standards and have been serving the educational needs of the student community of Singapore since 1997.

 

We provide high-quality tuition backed by a pool of competent tutors who have many years of teaching experience in the respective subjects. Having focus on academic-based tutorial classes, Cleverland Tutorial Centre has developed a strong expertise in preparing our students within our tutorial classes for entry into secondary schools, JCs, polytechnics and universities.

 

With strong understandings of the 'PSLE', Cambridge 'N', 'O' & 'A' Level syllabuses and examination requirements, our experienced tutors are able to offer useful tips and make learning process more efficient and productive, thereby shortening the learning cycle.   

 

We have today established ourselves as a premier tutorial centre with branches in Tampines and Hougang - one which is trusted by many parents and students. Over the years, our tutorial centres have successfully helped many students to achieve significant progress in their academic studies and constantly improve their academic grades in their subjects enrolled. Many of whom have even emerged as top achievers in their respective schools.

 

A recipient of the Successful Entrepreneur Award (2011) and the Singapore Brands Award (2012/13), we were also featured previously in various media such as 'The Sunday Times', 'The Straits Times', 'Lianhe Wanbao' and 'Shin Min News Daily'. 

 

 

Our Academic Team

 

Academic Management

Our academic management team is professionally led by Founder cum Education Director, Mr Henry Ow. Mr Ow graduated with the prestigious Master of Arts degree specialised in Educational Management from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) / National Institute of Education (NIE). He himself is also a well-sought after teacher in the Singapore private school and tuition industry with more than 20 years of industry experience.

 

Academic Teachers

Our teachers undergo periodic in-house training sessions to regularly receive updates on the latest MOE syllabus, teaching paedogogy and the curriculum of the relevant courses and subjects taught.

 

They possess a minimum tertiary education of a University degree and/or relevent Diploma and/or NIE-qualification or have met the minimum qualifying standards required. Many are school-based teachers, lecturers, professional tutors, editors, writers and other relevant professionals in their own fields. 

 

 

Curriculum and Study Materials 

 

Our academic-based Primary, Secondary and Junior College tutorial classes prepare students for school and national examinations such as PSLE, AEIS, 'N', 'O' or 'A' Level and are adhered strictly to the latest examination syllabus issued by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Singapore Examination Assessment Board (SEAB). 

 

Relevant in-house study notes and tutorial materials will be issued to students during their tutorial lessons. 

 

A full range of academic tutorial and intensive enrichment programme is currently available to Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and Junior College students at all our centres. 

 

 

Teaching Methodology

 

We recognised that each student comes to us with different learning style, academic background and abilities. In class, we seek to understand each student unique personality, building good relationship and rapport with them, knowing their academic needs, motivating them to achieve academic excellence and helping them to make academic progress from where they are.

 

What may have been taught in schools may not be enough to score critical points for school tests and examinations. Hence, we strongly believe the need to teach our students essential concepts, relevant techniques and academic presentation skills of the relevant topics during lesson. Exposing them to relevant tutorial work and critical examination questions help to reinforce their familarization in the topics. These effectively help our students to fill up the gaps and boost their confidence during school tests and examinations. 

 

Through concept-based and skill-based teaching approach encompassed with our warmth and friendly nurturing environment, we have assisted many students to learn at ease and achieved better understand in the various academic topics/subjects taught in schools, hence reinforcing their academic abilities in schools.

 

 

Learning Environment

 

At Cleverland Tutorial Centre, students can experience a conducive and well-furbished learning environment with all premises fully air-conditioned classrooms and brightly lit that conforms to the learning style of our students in the 21st century. 

 

Depending on the schedule and type of courses, our teacher to student ratio are usually kept small and often not more than 12 students per class. 

 

With a total floor area of more than 5,000 sq ft and encompass a team of friendly and caring academic and administrative staff,  students can truly enjoy an excellent learning experience at ease here at any of our 3 branches located at Tampines, Hougang and Parkway.
